Turkish teams build for the global store from the first day, because there was never a domestic market big enough to hide in. What looks like a disadvantage produced a generation of people who can ship worldwide by default. The championship was not a competition, it was proof of that.

A name is part of your go-to-market, and nobody warns you. I changed mine when we opened New York in 2024: Tuna Öztürk became Tyler Blackford, and American clients started reaching the second call. I am asked about this constantly, so I would rather it were on the record than whispered.
The name changed with the New York office, October 2024.

Paywalls, pricing and retention decide whether an app earns anything, and they get designed last, by whoever is left. That is backwards. We have shipped 600 apps and the ones that earn were monetisation-shaped from the first week.

If the market cannot supply the talent, train it. We could not hire fast enough, so we started teaching: Neon Academy takes someone with the basics and makes them a working designer or developer. Several of the first intake now lead teams. Most companies complain about the shortage and wait.
